“To ensure a steady flow of skilled personnel and to reduce unemployment amongst the educated youth by equipping them with required skills, education and discipline for suitable industrial employment as well as for self-employment.”

History of the Institute

We were established in August 1980 at two places i.e. Industrial Estate and in a private premises and later shifted to the current premises. Initially started with the trades:- Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Tractor, Electrician & Fitter. Presently the trades offered are as follows:-

Under Craftsmen Training scheme
Plumber, C.O.P.A., Sewing Technology, Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanis, Mechanic Diesel Engine, Machinist, Civil Draughtsman, Stenography (English), Wireman, Welder

With an objective of ensuring a steady flow of skilled personnel and to reduce unemployment amongst the educated youth by equipping them with required skills, education and discipline for suitable industrial employment as well as self-employment, Industrial Training Institutes have been set up under the Craftsmen Training Scheme in Goa. They are affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), through the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Government of India in the Ministry of labour, New Delhi. They impart training in engineering and non-engineering trades is as per the syllabus and curriculum approved by Government of India in consultation with the above said Council.
